Wally has confirmed that the first two units in the wallywind110 sailing yacht series are proceeding on schedule, with the first launch scheduled for next month. The first hull is preparing for transport to Marina di Ravenna for outfitting, where she will have her 6.9-metre telescopic keel fitted.

Measuring 33.4 metres, the model's naval architecture comes from German studio judel/vrolijk & co. Interior and exterior lines are designed by Wally in collaboration with Santa Maria Magnolfi.

The design aims to maximise performance while offering comfort and liveability

The first unit's all-carbon hull has been painted in "a luminous light metallic blue that changes slightly as the light hits her", according to the shipyard. She was sold in March 2023 to a repeat client.

"Wally owners are like family to us and it makes me extremely proud knowing that they continue to choose us to build their dreams on the water," said Wally founder and chief designer Luca Bassani.

The design ethos behind the 110 focuses on combining the comfort of a cruising yacht with the spirit and performance of a racing boat. The yacht has an 80-square-metre full-beam cockpit with seating and dining for up to 15 people, with customisation options available so that owners can make the most of this waterfront area.

The raised saloon has an open-plan layout, with space for dining, lounging and working. It benefits from natural light thanks to a skylight that runs the full length of the coachroof.

"Wally’s sailing heritage is legendary, and under Ferretti Group, the brand is redoubling its efforts on the sail side. With the sale of [this first unit], Wally continues its remarkable contribution to the advancement of sailing design and technology," said Stefano de Vivo, Wally's managing director.

He added that the wallywind110 is "a head-turning exception" in a crowded market. "When a client comes to Wally, they know they can expect the very highest standards and we are extremely proud of the confidence this experienced and selective owner is giving us once again. I am sure it will impress the audience when it will be sailing in the Mediterranean sea in summer 2024," he concluded.

According to BOATPro, Wally has six yachts on order or actively under construction. Three of these units belong to the wallywhy150 series, which made its international debut in Cannes last year.
